My belief in the power of personal investment has led me to where I am today.
My 25 years in the public sector, particularly in higher education, working with students, staff and faculty highlighted the importance of well-trained administrative professionals.
I have been privileged to work in an educational environment, which allowed me to pursue ongoing professional development. Through this professional development I gained the tools that have allowed me to coach and mentor aspiring and established leaders. It was through this work, and being recognized with the University of Alberta’s Administrative Professional Officer of the Year Award that I found my desire to empower individuals to lead and to build highly-functioning teams.
My professional coaching certification, paired with my natural ability to build trust and my understanding of the challenges faced by today’s leaders in higher education make me a strong resource to help those interested in improving themselves, their teams and the effectiveness of their organizations.
In addition to working with my own personal coach, I have pursued professional development to deepen my knowledge in:
- Adaptive Leadership;
- Change Management;
- Coaching out of the Box;
- Emotional Intelligence; and
- Facilitative Leadership.
I am a member of the International Coaching Federation and a licensed trainer in Succession Planning.
I hold a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, and Bachelor of Arts (Administrative Studies) – York University.
